Photography is something that is a passion of mine. I have a good camera that I purchased about a decade ago. Do cameras advance like computers do? Would it be worthwhile to upgrade to a more modern model? I am pleased with the pictures that are taken with my current camera. I just don’t know what the new aspects are of the latest cameras.
Thanks for your comment. Some of the new aspects of the latest camera are:
• Dramatic increase in photo resolution
• AF system of the mirrorless camera offers greater capabilities
• On-sensor phase detection
• Subject-aware AF
• Huge development of quality and capability of video capture in stills cameras.
Nikon and Canon were always the brands I was familiar with. FujiFilm is a new one. I like the streamlined look of the X-T4. So exactly what divides cameras in terms of experience? How are some cameras better for beginners while others are better for professionals? The link to an FAQ is a good idea. Many times when I look up products I find articles which give specifications of which I’m completely unaware, so I have no idea if what I’m looking at is worth it or not!
Hi Christina, Photography Knowledge are always the key for choosing a camera. If you buy a full frame camera at it’s considered to be for professionals without knowing exactly what are the basics of photography, this will lead to a big disappoint. Thanks for dropping by!
Hi, I think that the best option from this list is the Canon EOS R6. I feel it’s affordable and I’m not interested in video recording. I saw some samples of its pictures and I see it offers excellent image quality. I also like it shoots at high speeds and includes impressive image stabilization.
In conclusion, I feel it’s not the best stills-and-video option but it’s a superb photographer’s camera.
Wish you the best with your choice Ann!
Hi Ehab. Very interesting article. I just started my own blog and Instagram account (still try to understand how it works) and I was looking for proper camera for my new activities. But its not easy to choose with so many options on market and contradictory reviews. That’s why your post is so helpful for me, and give me clear picture what I can expect. Previously I was mostly looking between Canon and Nikkon, but now Im starting to think Fujifilm may be also interesting option.
Best of luck Cogito!
